- Elitism which believed the world should led by a small group of who hold the knowledge, wealth, and name. In another manner of speaking, it believed that the world should be controlled by those on the top of the society.
- Ethnocentrism is a belief that it's own nation or group was extremely importance and also believed most of other cultures were an extension from its own.
- Classicism is discrimination based on social class where beliefs, practices, or attitudes are designed to benefit the upper class and suppress the lower classes.
- Racism is a belief a person's IQ, behavior, social status and morality is dependant on their nation. Racism often believe a certain particular group were superior then others.
- Sexism often determine a person good or bad and useful or not by their sex not by his/her ability and behavior.
- Adultism means that ‘’the power adults have over children.’’
- Nationalism is the form of three important concepts nation, race and country and united in ideology.
- Heterosexism is discrimination against homosexual people because of their different sexual orientation compared to the “social norm”.
- Ageism is an idea that the old are useless, due to their low contribution to the society.
Personally I believe that the world should be concerned about sexism, because man and women are supposedly equal; however due to the culture influences most of the time men are always superior in comparison to women. A example would be Chinese culture, most families from China and Taiwan are more likely to want a son instead of a daughter, because most families believe only the male can take over the family and gain control of the family. Also if the family has a company passed down from, it is most likely to get passed on to the son. Does that mean the men are better adopted to work? Why can't women run a family or manage the family? Nowadays, culture still strongly influences most of families in China and Taiwan; However there are still some women who really do work better than a man, such as Cher Wang, the CEO of HTC, she runs her company by herself, even though her dad was one of the richest men in Taiwan, her father chose to not leave her anything and instead left his inheritance for her brother. We can also think about why there are so many leaders in the world but only few of them are female. People should be equal, men can do the job's most women are supposed to do and women can do a man's job just as well as a man can.
In the mean time, some females seek for equality; however often times they become quite sexist. Some feminist organization think of themselves as being superior to males, and sometimes they will use the history of social status to support their beliefs. However when they dig up old historical "evidence" to support their point all they are doing is trying to prove their flawed logic and in a sense all they are doing is arguing arg
I think the best way to solve the sexism problem are to find the balance first then discuss the further structure later.
